BOWLING TARGET
Filed under: Bowling — Bowling Guru @ 12:13 pm

Your target is an individual choice, and there is no single rule for every bowler.
Some bowlers always targeted at the foul line, and others far down the lane.
What ever target you use draw an imaginary line down the lane, from the dots to
the pocket, and attempting to throw the ball along this line. Keeping your eyes on
your target until the ball crosses it is that keeps your body down during the release
so you don’t pull up prematurely.

BOWLING LEFT-HANDERS LOSS SHOT
Filed under: Bowling — Bowling Guru @ 11:16 am

It could be the right-handed bowlers playing on your side of the lane. If the
shot is also inside for them, they’ll constantly be moving in deeper, and eventually
dissipate the lane conditioner on the left side leaving you with no lane conditioner
to create the required skid in the front portion of the lane. Solutions: Move to the
outside portion of the lane where there’s less play, or switch to a ball that
creates less friction.

BOWLING GRIP THE BALL
Filed under: Bowling — Bowling Guru @ 10:19 am

BY gripping the ball loosely, you keep tension away from the arm and shoulder,
allowing the ball to swing freely through the backswing, downswing and release.
It is very important that you have a ball drilled correctly for your hand, with a
relatively tight thumb hole, to prevent dropping the ball. this also means you
need the wright pitch so you don’t hang up in the ball.

BOWLING CARRY DOWN
Filed under: Bowling — Bowling Guru @ 12:34 pm

A little hand adjustment may just do the trick. Instead of trying to release
the ball with your hand on the side of the ball, try to get your hand directly
under the ball during the release. This will create a little earlier roll and a
bit less skid, and should help you adjust to the changing pattern. Also have
your body lower at the point of release and to have more follow-through
during the release of the ball.
