A good rule of thumb is on freshly oiled Sport Bowling lane conditions, your
release should be end over end putting the ball in an earlier roll. This will give
you a good idea of how the ball is going to roll. As the oil breaks down and a
track develops, more loft and side roll can be applied to get the ball through
the heads and down the lane.
Many times a bowler will get anxious for the next frame and the feet will get fast.
This excessive emotion causing the fast or slow walk is a result of the bowler
being focused on outcome instead of the results at the line. The fix here is really,
easy think about the walk to the line rather than the results. In those times of
fear breathe deeply and exhale slowly to assist you in relaxing your entire body.
