USBC Sporting Bowling is an optional level of membership consisting of
leagues and tournaments conducted on challenging lane conditions. The
program is an opportunity for all bowlers to determine their true skills in
such areas as accuracy, consistency, spare shooting and the ability to
read lanes. Sport Bowling is committed to the integrity of the game and
the advancement of the serious bowler. USBC officially launched Jan. 1,
2005, as an organization serving more than three million adult and youth
bowlers in the United States. It resulted from the merger of the American
Bowling Congress, Women’s International Bowling Congress, Youth American
Bowling Alliance and USA Bowling.

This once a day Google Alert is brought to you by Google.
This discounts spares and sends the strong message that they’re not important.
If you are working on keeping your balance or hitting your target or making sure
you follow through, then work on those things. You don’t only keep your balance
or follow through or hit your target on strike shots, do you? Every time you
re-rack a apare you are telling yourself that they are not as important as strikes
shots (when actually they are more important), you can’t make up a missed spare.
The Pros call a missed spare a “hole” and this unacceptable. There are those
people who think they can strike enough to make up a missed spare, but you
never get back that missed count.
