Tournament managers are not required to recognize separate left-handed and
right-handed averages by bowlers who use each hand not even if a bowler
purchases separate membership cards. If a local association breaks with
policy and sells an individual two cards, the USBC will issue a refund for one
of the cards. The bottom line: To tournament managers—and—the the USBC
a bowler who establishes separate right-handed and left-handed averages still
is considered an INDIVIDUAL, and the higher average will be used for handicap-
ping purposes.
