With the proper ball maintenance your new reactive resin or particle ball can live a long life.
For starters wipe your ball after each session, alcohol is good for this. After 12 games,
sock your ball in hot water to remove the oil, polish your ball using a spinner. Repeat
this process until you get approximately 75 games, then when you sock your ball in
hot water sand it with the same grit when it was new. Then polish the ball to bring
back the shine when it was new. The reaction of the ball will stay more consistent
this way. You may want to resurface your ball at some point, but my experience with this,
the ball don’t last any longer, so I use that cost to buy a new ball. This is my own
opinion.
